Born #OTD in Cleveland, OH, was the one and only, Don King. At 88 years old, boxing’s dark overlord for so many decades is still going strong. After dropping out of Kent State University, King set up a bookmaking operation, what would be the start of his empire. King’s infamy arises from his criminal background, as well as two murder charges that only added to his legend. As a promoter, he has been linked with the who’s who of great boxers, many of whom have since sued him for screwing them over. As he has aged, King has kept a low profile and has been viewed as a sideshow act. His power, though, remains, evident by his ability get his man Bermane Stiverne a rematch with WBC Champ Deontay Wilder despite being unranked at the time. No doubt, Don King is one of a kind. Come fight night, it's easy to focus solely on the fighter without considering those who helped get them there. A fighter enters the ring leading the pack, but closely behind them, follows their team. From the moment they put on their first pair of gloves, to the moment they step into the ring, a fighter's support system is there to ensure they excel. @lomachenkovasiliy under the watchful eye of father, and trainer, Anatoly Lomachenko, ready for Loma's return to the ring August 31st. #LomaCampbell

Boxing isn't a game; there are no Pause, Fast Forward, or Rewind buttons. Once you've climbed into the ring and crossed those ropes, you're all in. Every punch, thought out, every counter, calculated. We don't do it because it's easy - where would the glory in that be? We do it because few can do what we do. Few can make their mind and body work in unison towards a single goal - to dominate and leave the ring a winner. It requires all of you, but it's rewards you in the best way. #WeDontPlayBoxing
This Saturday, @showtimepettis will serve as the co-main event at UFC 241 against Nate Diaz who will be making his long-awaited return. A KO win against Stephen Thompson at Fight Night 148 put the division on notice, Pettis, the first to finish Wonderboy. With the recent move up to the welterweight division, it seems Pettis has gained a newfound momentum, without the headache of a weight cut. Climbing up the ranks in a stacked welterweight division is no easy feat, but the former lightweight champion and featherweight contender is ready for war. With a history of unfinished business between the two, it's time for Pettis and Diaz to leave it all in the Octagon come August 18th. How do you think it goes down? 👉 @boxraw 🎥: @ufc
On this day 5 years ago, Kell Brook shocked the world, taking a majority decision away from home and leaving with Shawn Porter's IBF Welterweight World Title. Entering the ring, many expected Porter to successfully defend his belt and move onto a bigger fight with Mayweather; however, the game Brit didn’t read the script. From the opening bell, Brook set about the champion and controlled the pace. Porter managed to gain some control through the middle rounds, but ultimately, it was the man from Sheffield who took the World Title home. After the fight, many touted Brook to take on Khan - a fight that never materialized. If Brook and Khan face each other, who wins? 👉 @boxraw
