While I’ve experienced quite a bit so far in life, there’s still so much more I want to see and do and achieve. Returning from several back to back trips just a few days ago, one might think I’m happy to be home in suburban Philly. And while that’s true to an extent and I adore the cozy little abode I’ve created for myself and my two- and four-legged guests, I’ve already begun planning for my next few adventures.
Why? Because travel is my love. It teaches and grows and inspires me like nothing else. It’s typical for me to have several trips on the horizon with flights booked (always at a great deal!) and then I just do a little research, narrow down what I most want to see or do, and leave the rest to chance. The result winds up being the perfect concoction of a dream achieved with a nice little dash of mystery thrown in. See, as much as I love finally experiencing something I’ve always wanted to, many of my fondest memories are about the places, people and chance encounters that weren’t on some master list.
So here’s to appreciating the unanticipated views, from wherever you are coming from or wherever you might be heading. And remembering that it’s impossible to plan life, or anything, out perfectly. I wasn’t “supposed” to go to Monument Valley when I booked my flight to Denver a few months back. But I wound up there anyway. And it wound up being one of the most incredible and unexpected gifts of my journey, not just on that trip, but in my entire life. 🏜🧡

Monument Valley is one of the most beautiful game apps I’ve ever played. I still need to finish the sequel. #monumentvalley #totem #idasdream #ida

The sun sets on the 25 million year old red sandstone mesa of "West Mitten" in Monument Valley, Arizona. Absolutely spectacular.

“Red as blood,
this send I walk
I win, I lose
I smile, don’t talk
No, I don’t pray,
Don’t pray no lord”

Ps: One year passed, so much changed, I’m happy with my journey in this world and I’d feel blessed if it wasn’t that I’m not religious
